Well, not really born. Just named. We named a star with the International Star Registry in memory of Julia. Stars are another symbol that many people use to remind them of loved ones lost. Stars are far away-- unreachable, really, but they are there and we can see them. Even in seeing them we are really seeing light that took light years to reach us. I can imagine Julia that way -- she is there, but in an unreachable (for now) place. Although I cannot actually see her in real time, I can look around me and see the ripples and waves of light that she left behind her.
A star for you, my sweet one. Shine on.
Perhaps they are not stars,
but rather openings in heaven
where the love of our lost ones
pours through
and shines down upon us
to let us know they are happy.
